Internal Modems

We don’t install internal WIN Modems for business use. We recommend external modems as they can be easily moved and also reset by turning the power off.

Internet Passwords

CAPITALS are not accepted. I do not know your passwords so if you forget (or are confused) you will need to ring your ISP and have it reset.

Internet ADSL

Jetstream Internet connections are being installed at many of our sites and at home offices. Please contact us to provide the options available. A copper phone line (not fibre) is used to connect to an exchange with ADSL. This line can be used for voice at the same time. A maximum distance of 3 km is suggested. Available in Papakura , Pukekohe not Clarks Beach.

Internet Satellite

Murray and Roger both now have a Satellite connection which allows us to receive large files. Murray’s is direct to the Sky Tower and Roger is to the IHUG satellite. The main problems are wind on the satellite dishes and drivers for the network cards.

Rural Modems

Dynalink has a special modem to handle the longer distances and noisy lines for rural clients. The US Robotics modems also work in this environment.
